Why is the workshop split over two days?
At the end of the program, your child can take their new learnings and skills into many aspects of their life. Most valuable across the board is feeling comfortable speaking up, and feeling heard through creative expression is one of the benefits.
If your child is more serious about acting, Or if you are curious about it, what’s next?
We have designed the workshop over two half-day programs (so 3 hours each day) to ensure your child gets the value we intend them to receive from the programs.
We are ALL about encouraging kids to step out of their comfort zone in a fun and safe space while remaining focused and energised. Hence, it is over two days.
This workshop is for kids and teens who want to learn how to act, build confidence or explore their creative side.
What will your child get out of it?
We have a Q&A set out as part of the program for parents AND students interested in pursuing acting and drama where the teacher, Cassandra, can provide all the information anyone needs to follow drama and acting. Specifically, what one may expect the journey of an actor to be like and what some recommended steps and industry loops to be mindful of are super valuable if this is something you would like to pursue. Cassandra has passed on the same information to many other successful actors over the years (that have undoubtedly helped them along their journey), so we would love to share this information with you too. Please note this Q&A is within the last half hour of each group time outlined above. So it best to come half our earlier to listen in.
Our teaching policy
We believe in teaching equality. This means we strive to treat and provide equal advice, support, encouragement and industry recommendations to all children & parents regardless of their skills, confidence or abilities. Giving the same advice and support in acting and drama benefits ALL kids as an all-one community. We also determine our success in the programs not by ‘their performance’ but by how your child feels and their enjoyment.
Our payment policy
Payment Policy: If anything were to happen and you could not attend the workshop, we happily provide refunds on or before the 11th Sept 2023. After 11th Sept, we do not offer refunds under any circumstances. However, you can transfer your booking to another person of the same age group you booked to replace you. Thanks for understanding.
What if my child has a disorder, or behavioural issue?
It would help if you informed us of children with behavioural issues, debilitating shyness, anxiety, or disorders.
The teacher is very experienced in handling this. Please get in touch with the team to discuss if you have any concerns.
Policy around photos
As you can understand, we do not allow any photos or videos from teachers, parents or anyone during our classes.
This is to protect the privacy, safety and comfort of everyone, as it’s aligned with our teaching policy to ensure our students feel safe and open to explore their inner confidence without being photographed or filmed. No photos will be posted via our social media for these reasons and to keep the experience authentic for the kids.
Can I speak to the teacher before the class?
As you can appreciate, the teacher is an actor and either teaches on set, writes a play, or attends auditions, so it’s tricky to get Cassie on the phone hence why we have a team to help with that and answer any questions.
Interested in future classes or 1on1?
If this school holiday workshop is not suitable for you, but you’re interested in attending drama classes down the track (during the week) or one-on-one sessions, please get in touch with us, and we will contact you when this becomes available.
